Caminos de Tango (Enrique & Marion Ringa)

Caminos de Tango was created by Enrique & Marion Ringa to spread their passion for Argentinean Tango outside the borders of South America. Since 2007, they have joined regularly today’s most renowned Maestros and orchestras and performed in Europe and Argentina top milongas and festivals.

They dance with an attractive milonguero-nuevo style which combines elegance, personality, a great sense of musicality and solid control of traditional technique and movement.

Enrique (Quique) discovered tango in his native Argentina in 1995 as part of a training for this theatre company. He immediately fell in love with the dance and started taking intensive classes in Mar del Plata and Buenos Aires.

Quique learnt from the old Milongueros of Buenos Aires as well as with Maestros of Tango Nuevo, which gave him a strong base of both traditional and modern tango. Over years, his principal maestros and inspirators have been Nito and Elba, Gustavo Naveira and Osvaldo Zoto.

Since 1999, Enrique has worked as a full-time professional dancer and taught and performed in major festivals and shows in Argentina and Europe. He has worked with renowed tango orchestras and singers and danced with different partners among which Roxanna Umpierr and Juana Sepulveda. Since 2006, Enrique has been dancing with Marion, his current partner.

Marion’s tango is rooted in musical skills and a mastery of bodily movements blending flexibility and strength: Marion trained as a ballet and contemporary dancer from the age of six. As a teenager, she devoted more time to theater and corporeal expression. In parallel Marion persued studies in arts and litterature and today holds two Masters and a Phd. She is also a qualified yoga teacher and has received certification in applied anatomy.

It is only after her encounter with Enrique that she started her career as a professional tango dancer. Since then, she has proved to be a talented dancer and has become a very respected teacher thanks to her her excellent teaching methods.
