Regina Rogers School of Ballet

Regina Rogers School of Ballet (est. 1986) aims to promote and foster a love of Dance.

Classes are given in Classical Ballet, Character and Folk Dance, with special emphasis being placed on Performance  and Repertoire.  This inspires Confidence, Poise, Teamwork and Committment in our students.  The Ballet school stages a performance every alternate year.  In March 2009 the Ballet School staged a very successful “Nutcracker”in the Town Hall Theatre.

Galways first Russian Syllabus Exams were held in May of 2011 and were held again in 2014.

Students of the Regina Rogers School of Ballet regularly perform at social events throughout Galway city e.g. Charity Fundraisers, Fashion Shows,Oyster Festivals, both Galway and Clarinbridge, and most recently at the Volvo Ocean Race.

They have also performed on RTE Television with the Irish Youth Russian Ballet Company and on BBC’s Television series “Uncle Max”

Regina with senior students who successfully auditioned for the Irish Youth Russian Ballet Company.

In recent years, several Senior students  successfully auditioned for the Irish Youth Russian Ballet Company (I.Y.R.B) Artistic Director Monica Loughman, Ireland’s Premier Ballerina. These students have performed in the Helix Theatre Dublin and also featured on RTE’s TV Programme “Ballet Chancers
